Multicultural Supervision
Multicultural Supervision
This interactive live webinar will explore the topic of multicultural supervision in the human services.
When we think of cultural competence in the human services, we tend to think of how this idea applies to work with clients. However, understanding issues regarding culture also plays a significant role in creating open and positive relationships between supervisors and members of their teams.
Supervisors who understand their unintentional biases and how these biases influence their interpretation of situations, interactions and their decision making will be more effective in creating open communication and building trust within multicultural teams. As a result, these teams will generally be more collaborative and ultimately deliver higher levels of service to clients.
In this workshop supervisors will learn strategies that will enhance their skill set and make them more effective in managing multicultural teams.
